The best price for the standard ticket is available on the internet, at www.Onnibus.fi. The internet price for the standard ticket does not exceed the maximum price, which is 15 Euros or 20 Euros depending on the route. The driver can sell the standard tickets at the maximum price if there is room on the coach, or the short trip ticket, depending on the length of the trip. The price of the ticket on the internet is determined according to demand such that at least one standard ticket is sold for 3€ for each departure.
The monthly and working week tickets can be bought from the driver. The name and date of birth of the ticket owner and the time valid are written on the ticket. The passenger must provide official proof of identity upon request when buying the monthly or working week ticket and when travelling with Onnibus using that ticket. The monthly and working week tickets can be confiscated if misused.
There are no price reductions for special grourps (young people, students, military service, civil service, pensioners etc.). War veterans are an exception and have free passage on Onnibus services. To be eligible for free passage as a war veteran, the passenger must present their front-line soldier or mine clearing badge upon request.
Senior citizens, i.e. those over 65 years in age, can buy the standard ticket for the price of the short trip ticket from the driver.
A maximun of two children under 4 years can travel for free when travelling with at least one person who has a standard, short trip, monthly or working week ticket or with a war veteran, provided there is room on the coach.
Methods of payment
The driver accepts cash and the usual bank and credit cards. In the internet store, the largest Finnish banks’ internet bank payments and Visa and Mastercard are accepted.
Hand luggage is taken on board for no charge and kept in the passenger foot space or on the shelf. All other baggage is transported in the luggage compartment of the coach. The hand luggage taken on board must not take space from fellow passengers. Two items of luggage per passenger, such as suitcases or bags, are allowed in the luggage compartment for no extra charge.
Bicycles and prams
Other baggage, such as bicycles and pushchairs or prams, are counted as luggage and may be taken into the luggage compartment for no extra charge if there is room.
Pets are allowed on the coaches. Regular and non-dangerous pets can be taken on the coach with a chaperon who is responsible for them, provided there is room on the coach. Pets are situated on the coach so as to minimise any possible inconvenience they may cause. Pets may not be placed on the seats and they must not be let free. A passenger already present on the coach, who is allergic, has the right to choose their seat first and, if necessary, to ask the driver to not let the pet on the coach. Fellow passengers cannot, however, request the driver to deny passage to a guide or helper dog.
You can inquire for your lost property using our contact form at www.onnibus.fi/en/contact/.
Remember to use a reflector to hail the coach in the dark!
